ME Jam Festival
The ME Jam Festival is a vibrant, multicultural celebration held annually in Helsinki, Finland, that brings together music, dance, and art from the Middle East and North Africa. Now approaching its 10th anniversary, the festival is organized by KordAva Production in collaboration with local and international partners. Taking place at the historic Lapinlahden Lähde and coinciding with the Helsinki Festival, the ME Jam Festival aims to enrich Helsinki’s cultural scene with a unique blend of free outdoor concerts, ticketed indoor performances, dance shows, interactive workshops, and community art installations.
Featuring renowned international and Finnish artists, the festival showcases a variety of genres and styles, reflecting the diverse traditions and contemporary sounds of the MENA region. The festival also hosts jam sessions led by the house band, BaranBand, where audiences and artists alike can share in spontaneous musical expression.
Beyond entertainment, ME Jam Festival fosters intercultural understanding and integration by providing a platform for immigrant artists, encouraging collaboration, and promoting community building. Supported by partnerships with the City of Helsinki, Lapinlahden Lähde, and cultural organizations like Interkult and Mieli Ry, the ME Jam Festival has become a meaningful space for celebrating diversity, connecting communities, and creating a sense of belonging through the arts.
With food stalls, art displays, and a family-friendly atmosphere, the ME Jam Festival offers an enriching experience for all ages, celebrating the power of culture to unite and inspire.
